About
Thehouse.
A software house founded on a simple belief: how it feels to use is part of whether it works.
Since 2020
Codeword started in 2020 with a frustration: technology was judged by what it could do, never by how it felt to use. Function shipped; experience was an afterthought. We built a software house around the opposite bet — that software people enjoy using wins — and today we build that way with AI in the material.
Principles
What we believe.
Five rules we don’t bend — the reason clients stay after the first project.
Experience is the product
Working isn’t the bar. Software that feels like punishment isn’t finished — we design for the person at the screen first.
Software should fit the business
Not the other way around. We learn how you work before we decide what to build.
Ownership belongs to you
Code, accounts, infrastructure — everything in your name from day one, no lock-in.
AI is a material, not a feature
We don’t sprinkle it on at the end. We build with it the way architects build with steel.
Ship weekly, or it isn’t real
Progress you can click beats progress you’re told about.

Why “Codeword”
Every build begins with a codeword. Before there’s a roadmap, a repo, or a launch date, there’s a word a few people agree on — shorthand for a thing only they can see yet. It’s our favorite moment in any project: an idea getting its first name. We named the house after it.

Somewhere above the clouds.
The founder
Raghav Joshi.
Raghav founded Codeword in 2020 to build software people actually enjoy using. He still leads every engagement personally — from Macro, our own marketing platform, to the ERP systems now in build for hospitals and schools.
And yes — he reads every brief that comes in.
How we run projects — four motions, weekly ships, no black boxes — lives on the services page.
